My Literary Journey
Welcome to my writing world! I'd like to share with you the books and scripts I've created over the years. As a writer, I aim to produce two books annually, alongside various other creative projects. Let me walk you through my work...
My Novels
I'm particularly proud of Tyger, my romantic vengeance novel set in the Victorian Fens. Its story allowed me to explore both the historical period and the unique landscape of the Fenlands.
One of my major works is The Poppy Series, which follows this sequence:
1. Mr Ordinary
2. The Poppy Dichotomy
3. The Poppy Declamation
4. The Poppy Divergence
Poetry From the Heart
I've published two poetry collections that are deeply personal to me:
- PTSD & Me - A collection that explores my experiences
- Warrior Poet Verses - My reflections on life and struggle
My Theatre Work
I've written several pieces for the stage:
- Kilmanjaro- A theatre-in-the-round production that I'm excited to see performed
- White Tile - A short piece that's also ready for film adaptation
- Crumbs - My comedy set in a biscuit factory
- Dragon and the Sea - A children's play I created in collaboration with Bravo 22 and Other Creatives, exploring morality and how we judge others
Screenplays in My Portfolio
I've developed several screenplays, including:
- An upcoming spy film (title under wraps)
- A screenplay adaptation of Tyger
- The complete Poppy Series adapted for screen
- White Tile - A feel-good story I'm keen to see on screen
- Devils Digits - A project close to my heart about dyscalculia awareness
- Box - My exploration of disability themes through science fiction
- A modern crime thriller (title currently withheld)
My Writing Process
I'm an avid notebook keeper. My creative process involves extensive note-taking, and I find that once a story takes hold in my mind, it needs to come out. As any writer might understand, my head is in pain until I let these stories go. It's both a blessing and a curse of the creative process!
I'll share more detailed insights about each of these works in future blog posts. If you're interested in any particular piece, feel free to reach out—I love discussing my work with readers.
